Anub’Arak was bugging us..

.. so we killed him! (No i couldn’t think of any inventive or fun header for this, yes i know this one sucked) In 8 attempts we got Anub’Arak down, getting Tribute to Skills as well. Now that we got the fight and have done the other 4 bosses without wipes two weeks in a row i see no reason why the other two achievements shouldnt be up for grabs next week.

This is a 100% accurate screenshot, I believe Drsnusk is standing behind the boss.

Come on baby, Fight my Fire!

After having a few attempts on firefighting over a month ago we decided to go back and try our luck again. And lo and behold, the pain in the ass mechagnome finally got his behind whooped. We all attribute the win to Gelgia never dying (who has that alt? that person should be praised).

We have the key to Algalon’s door, now he just has to hand us the loot!

Something smelled

And for once it wasn’t Pest! After a few weeks of “oh no not Ulduar!” feelings we decided to try the Vezax hardmode. Turns out we’ll probably do this one every time we pass by him since it was almost easier than normal mode. No more sticky green stuff on our feet!

Crusading a la grande

After getting impaled quite a bit last week, we went back to grand crusading with a tad more respect. However it didnt take long for the first two bosses to be superdead. Third encounter proved a bit too hard for us which we attribute to having a bit questionable group setup for the fight, however we’ll be back on sunday and whoop their asses.

We took screenshots but until they’re posted this is a temporary homemade one:

Trial of Too Easy..

..as Kelewan put it. We’ll just have to come back and do it on heroic and see if that’s more of a trial.

We forgot to take a screenshot of the last dead boss, but it would’ve looked something like this:

Gangbanged!

So we added an extra raid to this week to go flirt with Freya. At first she played hard to get, and we thought we had a long way to go to get to second base. After some regrouping we increased our stamina and started seeing some results. We kept up the good mood and never went floppy, and all of a sudden she caved. To make a long story short we got her knocked up good!

Frozen guy blows!

At least compared to us, 2.47 mins was all we needed to slap this guy around! Well it actually took a few attempts to get it done, which wasnt completely surprising considering we had never tried it before (and Pnx had never done the boss and he was suddenly tanking). When we think back on this kill i think we will all remember the dps-meters from the second last attempt!

And grats to Renzuken on getting a new shield, several months of shield-droprate-whining will now end and we will all be… completely lost! Thankfully we have a safety blanket in the paladin tier 8 droprate!

The Four Towers

Once upon a time there was … something bad… and the only hope layed in the hands of the fellowship of the Lazy Peon Tavern, that set out at 9 pm to be awesome… and then the big army of evil iron dwarves attacked… and lost… all seemed great… [insert exciting new twist]… but then the fellowship won over the four towers and the evil end boss guy! Woohoo they all cried out, and all was well in Azeroth.

Steelbroken!

First attempt ever on Assembly of Iron hard modes, and we just needed a few tries to get Steelbreaker down as the last boss. Seems we’ll keep doing this one every week. Thank you Cadee for stepping in and helping out since we were one man short.

Algalon questline started – just wait and we’ll have him see stars in no time!

Knocking once!

Babysteps… To get to Freya’s hardmode we decided to start with knocking once. I think we were all surprised that it was so easy this time, after all we have had a try or two before with one keeper up. Our first keeper is Elder Brightleaf, next time we’ll knock twice and keep up Ironbranch too!

Losing our Illusions

Thorim hard-mode wasn’t that hard. As long as you stay out of the white lines on the floor (Kelewan) and dont overagro like crazy (Blackpuma)  it seemed to be a piece of cake. First keeper hard mode done, 3 to go. Maybe next time we can be sober enough (Bartie!) to actually remember the kill too?

Yogg-Saron bites the dust

After several weeks of summer vacations affecting our raiding-possibilities we finallay mangaged to pop by Yogg-Saron again. This time we felt more in control and on the 5th attempt we managed to get phase 2 over and done with. Only to realise phase 3 was a walk in the park and we suddenly had a very dead Yogg-Saron in front of us! Yay us!

The Descent into Madness cleared. Algalon next! Go go hard modes!!
